That’s right – transparent kayaking is what you’re looking at. Our guests frequently call it one of the best things to do on Pulau Tioman, simply because it is one of the best. If you like sailing through the dazzling waters and witness the marine wildlife right below you at the same time, then our Tioman island resort has just the thing you’re looking for.
WHAT’S SO SPECIAL?
When transparent kayaks got introduced a few months ago, they became an instant hit with the kayaking enthusiasts. Why? If you like kayaking, but sometimes feel that you’re missing out on the actions underwater, then you’ll understand exactly why. Transparent kayaks give you the best of both worlds. On the one hand, you’ll have a solo adventure on your familiar kayak, plus a healthy dose of exercise. On the other hand, you’ll get to have the first-hand experience observing what is right below you – exactly like snorkeling, only without getting wet! It’s an opportunity to be a participant in nature instead of a tourist, especially when you are on an island like Pulau Tioman.
Here’s a fun fact that few would know: even though they are transparent, the bottom of the kayak will still breach the water’s surface and remove the glare from the sun. The sun’s glare is the main reason you can’t see anything while looking over the sides of the traditional kayak, but now, not anymore! As long as the water is clear enough (and trust us, the water of Pulau Tioman is the most beautiful shade of sapphire you have ever seen), you’ll get to see everything happening below.
